The original OFTT jean. The tapered leg. A 12 oz organic cotton denim, woven in raw indigo and pre-rinse washed to keep it close to its natural state. The cut is relaxed through the hip with a gentle taper to the ankle, a clean exact line that sits at the mid-rise and works with every piece above it in the wardrobe. Lighter than our other denims. The silhouette that has been in the collection since the beginning, in the colour that started it.

Designers note: This is not just the original silhouette, it is the original colour. Raw indigo was the first colourway we introduced, chosen because it is the origin of denim as a colour. The 12 oz weight keeps it light. The pre-rinse wash removes the excess dye and nothing more. I love the way our raw denim fades with you over time. Ashley
The denim is grown using only rainwater, no pesticides. That matters to me, but it is not why I chose it. I chose it because the weight is exactly right: structured enough to hold a line, relaxed enough to move in it. It drapes the same on the first wear as it does six months later. Construction — Classic five-pocket jean. Patch pockets at rear. Belt loops on waistband. Metal stud button fly. Bartack reinforced. Tonal stitching.
Water saving — Cotton grown with rainwater only. Saves an estimated 6,000 litres per jean versus conventional denim.
